(IT) Application Support/Integration Engineer

Application Support/Integration Engineer An Application Support/Integration Engineer is needed urgently to work for my client a City based financial consultancy who specialize in credit, market and operational risk. You will need to have a solid understanding of the banking and finance domain as well as an all rounded technical skill set. Reporting to the Global Implementation Manager, you will be involved in the development, deployment, and support for complete risk management solutions, installed either in-house or at external client sites. You will be required to troubleshoot and carry out customisations to applications using; Java, C++ and Perl. Suitable candidates must have hands on experience with at least one RDBMS (SYBASE OR Oracle preferred) to DBA level and be confident in writing and debugging SQL queries. You should also have experience in Solaris and be experienced in Shell Scripting. Candidates must not only be technically strong but be able to communicate technical faults to a non technical audience. This is a client facing role where you occasionally you will be carrying out client visits and therefore need to be client driven and focused. It would be advantageous if candidates have an understanding of Risk Management concepts. Salaries vary depending on experience plus a competitive bonus scheme and full benefit package on offer.
